The book is a personal exploration of California geology, history, and natural history from the Marin coast to the wine country, from the goldfields to Yosemite, from Mono Lake to Death Valley. It is written as a guidebook to inspire others to see the geology that made California great.
Written by my geologist dad, I provided 81 Illustrations and illustrated maps, including, based on on-site sketches and personal photographs.
All work was drawn in Procreate or Sketchbook Pro on iPad and painted in Sketchbook Pro on a Wacom Cintiq.
