Crunchyroll is a streaming media service that finds its headquarters in in the heart of Hollywood. Its mission is to deepen people’s love for anime. Fans are its sweet spot and its employees are fans. Their job is to create experiences fans can’t refuse - to grab their attention and never let go. It is embedded within its parent company, Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Environmental graphics subtly reference the rich history of anime and the Crunchyroll brand.
Per the client's request to embody "Ginza meets Scandinavia," the 3D environment pairs the restraint of Japanese and Scandinavian design with the magic and energy of the medium.

Visitors from Japan will come here for discussions around licensing, contracts, legal - it is expected to be more professional, more “button down,” with fewer distractions. And yet it needs to retain the magic that makes those other offices so compelling. It is brand, it is theme, but it is more subtle, more sophisticated, and restrained.

Sometimes restrained is more sensitive, better.

Responsibilities: My role was to produce illustrative concepts, design control drawings, and fabrication oversight, as well as to art direct the graphic designer and coordinate with the building architects.
